Features Tour: Universal Search

Your Gateway to Seamless Exploration Across All G2X Verticals

In today's fast-paced digital landscape, finding the right information at the right time can often feel like searching for a needle in a haystack. Enter the new Universal Search feature – a powerful tool designed to streamline your exploration journey and unlock a world of possibilities. Here's everything you need to know about our innovative search functionality and how it can revolutionize the way you discover content.

What is Universal Search?

Universal Search is a dynamic feature that allows you to search across multiple platforms and sources within our ecosystem from a single interface. Whether you're looking for single awards, industry moves, or protests, our Universal Search feature provides a centralized hub for seamless exploration across all G2Xchange verticals (Health, FedCiv, and Defense).

Key Features and Benefits:

  1. Comprehensive Coverage: Say goodbye to siloed searches and fragmented results. With Universal Search, you can access content from all G2Xchange verticals, in one place.

  2. Intelligent Algorithms: Our search algorithms are designed to understand context, relevance, and user intent, ensuring that you receive accurate and tailored results with every query.

  3. Advanced Filters: Refine your search results with advanced filtering options based on the agency, and content type (i.e. awards, industry moves, opportunities, etc.), allowing you to pinpoint exactly what you're looking for with ease.

How to Make the Most of Universal Search:

  • Use Descriptive Keywords: Be specific when entering search queries to improve the accuracy and relevance of your results. Utilize keywords, phrases, and natural language to articulate your search intent effectively.
  • Understanding Filters: When selecting multiple filtering options, understand that our search results will populate as an "and" function and not an "or" function. For example, if you apply a filter for "Awards" and also for "Industry Moves" at the same time, your search results will assume you only want articles with both of those filters applied. Be sure to "x" out any additional filters that you do not want considered in your search criteria, before searching.
  • Best Practices: Please note that you can adjust the filtering options by G2Xchange vertical by selecting the drop-down button next to the search bar. You may have "All" selected, which will populate articles across all verticals. From here, you will notice a vertical tag, which describes which vertical the article was published on.

Be advised that if you do not have a membership for all platforms, you will be susceptible to our freemium plan, which allows for 3 free article views per month on any vertical that you are a non-member.

  • Provide Feedback: Help us improve the Universal Search experience by providing feedback on search results, relevance, and user experience. Your input enables us to fine-tune our algorithms and enhance the overall search functionality.
